Key Competencies and Skills


You will have a keen interest in Finance, potentially as a graduate in a financial discipline. We would also welcome applicants with limited experience in the industry. We can offer study assistance towards your studies for those studying towards an Accountancy certification.

The Role Function


The primary function of the Revenue Assistant Analyst is to support the revenue, credit control and accounts receivable function of the organisation. Excellent administration and organisation skills are essential in ensuring support is given at all times and that work is prioritised during the day (in order of urgency for completion). A good knowledge of accounting procedures for finance is beneficial as the role will involve posting payments, invoices, credits, and ensuring that receipts are allocated in a timely manner onto the accounting system.

Revenue Assistant Analyst, duties and responsibilities


This is an intensely busy, business-facing and visible role. Candidates must be able to work well under pressure, prioritise effectively, have a keen eye for detail and build solid relationships across the organisation.

A Revenue Assistant Analyst will be expected to perform any of the following tasks:

  • Assist the accounts receivable team with customer and revenue queries (either in person, by telephone, or email).
  • Administration support for the AR Team.
  • Deal with internal & external queries regarding debt collections, refunds, cash allocations.
  • General detailed maintenance of the AR ledger.
  • Detailed analysis of debt and revenue to assist the AR and reporting teams.
  • Assist with month-end activities and reporting.
  • Assist our Cashiers in investigating unallocated cash.
  • Maintain a clean AR aging, assist with past due balances and customer collection.
  • Work with the Sales and Operations teams to resolve customer issues.
  • Although Credit Control experience is beneficial (but not essential), candidates must have the ability to pick up the phone and chase debt.

Typical qualities of a successful applicant include:

  • Very good personal skills, and the ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels.
  • A self-starter and problem solver, with good common sense.
  • Ability to analyse data quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office products, excel and accounting software programmes.
  • Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations.
