London Finance 06 Feb 2019 10 Mar 2019

Hello there,

We’re looking for a Revenue Assistant Analyst to join our Finance team in our head office in Notting Hill Gate, London.

At Native, we’re passionate about giving our guests a place they can call home – whether they stay in our apartments for two nights, two weeks or two years.

Native’s huge success in the serviced apartments sector since 1997 has led to external investment and expansion of our commercial aims. Our business model is evolving, focussing on ambitious growth in the build-to-rent/private rental sector and rapidly expanding our impressive portfolio of luxury aparthotels.

Whether our guests are individuals, families or friends staying with us for business, leisure or long-let residential tenancies, Native offers high quality apartments though our managed portfolio of properties and our extensive network of preferred partnerships.

We’ve grown rapidly and we’re proud to be an ambitious and flexible company. It’s a complex business with daily surprises and challenges – so you’ll need to enjoy the fact that things can change as quickly as the English weather.

About Our People

We’re as proud of our people as we are of our properties. Our high-performing team of Natives do everything from developing new properties to providing perfect front-of-house service and managing our corporate client relationships.

Joining Native means working with passionate people from diverse backgrounds, nationalities and career paths. We like to make Native a place people can call home too.

Whether you’re working onsite in our customer-facing Operations Hubs or our Notting Hill HQ, we have a fun, fast and friendly culture that brings real spirit to how we service our guests.

Key Competencies and Skills

You will have a keen interest in Finance, potentially as a graduate in a financial discipline. We would also welcome applicants with limited experience in the industry. We can offer study assistance towards your studies for those studying towards an Accountancy certification.

The Role Function

The primary function of the Revenue Assistant Analyst is to support the revenue, credit control and accounts receivable function of the organisation. Excellent administration and organisation skills are essential in ensuring support is given at all times and that work is prioritised during the day (in order of urgency for completion). A good knowledge of accounting procedures for finance is beneficial as the role will involve posting payments, invoices, credits, and ensuring that receipts are allocated in a timely manner onto the accounting system.

Revenue Assistant Analyst, duties and responsibilities

This is an intensely busy, business-facing and visible role. Candidates must be able to work well under pressure, prioritise effectively, have a keen eye for detail and build solid relationships across the organisation.

A Revenue Assistant Analyst will be expected to perform any of the following tasks:

  • Assist the accounts receivable team with customer and revenue queries (either in person, by telephone, or email).
  • Administration support for the AR Team.
  • Deal with internal & external queries regarding debt collections, refunds, cash allocations.
  • General detailed maintenance of the AR ledger.
  • Detailed analysis of debt and revenue to assist the AR and reporting teams.
  • Assist with month-end activities and reporting.
  • Assist our Cashiers in investigating unallocated cash.
  • Maintain a clean AR aging, assist with past due balances and customer collection.
  • Work with the Sales and Operations teams to resolve customer issues.
  • Although Credit Control experience is beneficial (but not essential), candidates must have the ability to pick up the phone and chase debt.

Person Specification

Typical qualities of a successful applicant include:

  • Very good personal skills, and the ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels.
  • A self-starter and problem solver, with good common sense.
  • Ability to analyse data quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office products, excel and accounting software programmes.
  • Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations.
