    Summary of Position

    To maintain a consistent level of service within the Housekeeping Department, to demonstrate our philosophy of great style, great food and great value.




    • To understand daily departmental costs and how your work routine influences profit and loss results.
    • To ensure the procedures for movement and security of stock are maintained at all times.
    • To complete housekeeping duties within the minutes per apartment budget.


    • To participate in training and development for Housekeeping procedures and product knowledge.
    • To develop a close working relationship with all departments, colleagues and managers to ensure guest expectations are met.
    • To develop rapport with all guests in order to maximise sales opportunities and generate business for the future.
    • To co-operate with all members of the team to provide the best possible service.
    • To assist with training within the department when needed.
    • To participate fully in departmental briefings and meetings.
    • To assist in maintaining a positive culture throughout the department.

    Service and Product

    • To be on shift in good time for service.
    • To ensure knowledge of products, service procedures and shift information.
    • To ensure effective daily communication with other team members, Reception and the management team.
    • To maintain levels of cleanliness and styling that consistently exceeds the expectations of our guests.
    • To be aware of the importance of styling, cleanliness and language in the department, and to work to the Standard Operational Procedures at all times.
    • To ensure the standards of cleanliness and maintenance within the department is maintained.
    • To ensure that all department safety and security procedures are adhered to.
    • To follow departmental linen procedures at all times.
    • To report all maintenance issues to the Head Housekeeper / Assistant Head Housekeeper.
    • To evaluate performance and standards on a regular basis in order to recognise challenges for the future.


    • To undertake any reasonable requests made of you by the company including flexibility in hours, location and responsibilities.
    • To work to Perfect10n Priorities.
    • Be willing to help other departments of the hotel wherever possible and to understand the flexibility required when business levels peak and trough, to deliver the best possible service.
    • To ensure that all statutory regulations are observed and that the department comply with these requirements.
    • To comply with all policies and procedures as written in the staff handbook.
