Welcome to the
Borough & Southbank
Neighbourhood
Historic and cultural hustle and bustle south of the river.
The Thames is undoubtedly a highlight in this part of London, and we absolutely love the mix of cultural events that line the riverfront throughout the year. Don’t miss stepping back a few streets and walking along the cobbled lanes where you’ll find independent shops and discover the area’s rich industrial history.
It’s also home to some of the best attractions in London, including The Globe theatre where you can still watch Shakespeare’s plays under the stars, the Tate Modern which has a free permanent collection of some of the most important works of contemporary art in the world, and Borough Market where you can try artisan cheeses, local oysters or score an amazing lunch from one of the gourmet street food stalls.
Borough & Southbank Neighbourhood
Sitting on the southern bank of the Thames between Southwark Bridge and Blackfriars, the transport links are fantastic with Southwark, London Bridge and Blackfriars stations less than 10 minutes’ walk away. If you fancy commuting by boat then the Thames Clipper can take you west to Battersea or east to North Greenwich.
