    Welcome to the

    Edinburgh

    Neighbourhood

    The historical heart of Scotland.

Edinburgh’s world famous New Town is easy to fall in love with. The neo-classical architecture, the pretty squares and the gardens will charm any visitor, but the real attraction is how quickly you start feeling like a native Edinburgher when you stay here.

Even if you’ve never been before, you know more about Edinburgh than you think. There’s the famous Fringe Festival. The university. The striking castle watching over the city. The view from Arthur’s Seat. The inspiration for Harry Potter.

It’s when you start getting to know the city that its storied charm and iconic beauty gives way to something even more captivating. Its people, in particular. They’re witty, welcoming and full of irrepressible pride in where they live. Whether they’re at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo or a run-of-the-mill rugby match, they bring their own brand of Celtic gusto to every occasion and take everyone else with them.

One of the most enchanting things about Edinburgh is how easy it is to get from the city centre to rambling countryside and dramatic vistas. The Scottish capital is perched on the shores of the Firth of Forth, so there are plenty of hilly walks to be had right within its sprawling parks, and sandy beaches and serious hiking hills are just a bus ride away. If you fancy a tour of some of Scotland's best cities then Glasgow, home to Native Glasgow, is only a 40 minute train ride away.

    Edinburgh.
